Spring and girls (early 2013)

I LOVE spring!! I think it is officially my favorite season. I love the seeing the daffodils start poking out of the ground, the smell of fresh rain, sending the kids outside to enjoy the sunshine, sidewalk chalk, counting down the last days of school. I could go on and on!

Today I really took the time to enjoy the wonderful minds of my girls. Brooke is getting so old! She talks older and I love to watch her think little decisions over in her mind. I told her she could watch Erin and Abby over spring break while I slept and she is sooo excited (and smug) about it, but she has done a great job. She is a little bit of a tom boy that loves to dress up. Today she and Erin were wiping the table down after dinner and I heard her say, "K Erin, you wipe that side while I wipe this side. Just pretend there is a force field right there" pointing to the middle of the table. It made me laugh! Also after the rain storm she picked up three worms and put them in the garden so they would help the soil and plants. She named them Mr., Mrs., and jr. worm. I love her sooo much!!

Erin is my lovely girl! She loves to dress up and has a really good sense of style. I think she is just beautiful. She is really good at reading, I think, at this age and loves school. I have had 2 other parents with boys in her class that tell me there sons try to kiss her at recess. One little boy is in her primary class and has given her lots of gifts. I think it is so cute. I told her that if she liked the boy she could let them kiss her on the cheek, but she told me she doesn't like any of them. Jason said "Good! keep it that way." Hahaha! Ya right, my guess is that by the time she is in 5th or 6th grade she will be getting lots of kiss on the cheek!

Abby is just a wonderful 3 year old. She still has a lot of sass but she is starting to listen and do, with just a little bit of back talk, when we tell her to do something. She still makes us laugh everyday and sometimes says really wise things that just take me by surprise. For example, Easter sunday she said she wanted to go to church to show Jesus her pretty new dress but that Jesus was gone. I asked her where he was and she said "He's died". I told her that he was alive because he was resurrected and that is why we celebrate Easter but by that time I think she was off to another subject and she wasn't listening to me. Hopefully she got a little bit of it. She gives the best hugs and loves to hug as many people as she can. I love to kiss and hug her so much!

Sorry I have no pictures but I am at work and thought I would write a little of what was on my mind. Have a great day!!
